[Nature] The elusive and rare Mexican Water Squirrel – CAUGHT!

Water Squirrels are known to be very dubious – often acting like crabs and nipping at toes, just to mess with you. Little is known about this aquatic mammal – and even less is known about its astounding ability to remain under water for hours on end. PAO staff fisherman Edmund Cholecah was able to snag one of these playful critters using his patented “sticky fish” lure – which is very tactile and can snare the tongue of most any aquatic creature. The water squirrel pictured here unfortunately escaped before Cholecah could capture it. Sneaky.
